Barbadian NGOs Support Cuba

On May 20, 2026 Cuban Ambassador to Barbados, Yanet Stable, met with members of the delegation to Cuba, the Barbados-Cuba Friendship Association, the 6th Region Movement, and the Hibiscus Sports and Culture Foundation, during a Press Conference at the Cuban Embassy in White Hill, St. Thomas.

The discussions included the threats and aggression Cuba has been experiencing, Cuban’s efforts to improve and accelerate the processes of renewable energy, and the results of the recently concluded delegation trip to Cuba which successfully delivered humanitarian aid between April 29 – May 6, 2026.

Contributions to the discussions were made by President of the Barbados-Cuba Friendship Association, David Denny, Founder of the 6th Region Movement, Saa-Ankh Clarke, and Co-Founders of the Hibiscus Sports and Culture Association, Akealii Hall and Crystal Tudor.

Plans are in motion for the next delegation trip to Cuba scheduled for November 2026, where further humanitarian aid can be delivered. Internal efforts to support this trip include event fundraisers such as Galas and Sporting events, scheduled to take place within the coming months. Support is also being sought from Government offices and private organizations to support the one-week trip.
