Clockwise Construction: Building a Family Legacy in Barbados.

Jevon Abrams isn’t just building structures; he’s actively building a legacy in construction. Clockwise Construction is a family-owned enterprise officially launched in 2020. And Jevon is actively forwarding a tradition of craftsmanship and dedication that stretches back two decades. Speaking to the News On The Go team, Jevon revealed, “The repetition of our style has been ongoing for years prior, about 20 years prior,” actively underscoring the long-term family involvement in the industry that paved the way for the Clockwise Construction brand.

A Foundation Built on Family

The Abrams family is the glue behind Clockwise Construction’s legacy.

Jevon shared candidly with News On The Go that the foundation of family actively offers unique advantages. “I like most that it gives me a lot more flexibility,” he explained to the team. “My office is my home, so when I come home, yes, there are times when I want to relax, and then you know, there’s work they have to deal with, but at the same time, it’s not as stressful.” This close proximity actively fosters a collaborative environment where communication and shared purpose thrive.

More Than Just Construction

Clockwise Construction actively offers a comprehensive suite of services, including building, renovation, home improvement, and property maintenance. But for Jevon, as he explained to News On The Go, it’s about more than just the services they provide. “You take a lot more pride in your work, knowing that it’s not just you yourself, it’s you and your family,” Jevon stated. This pride actively translates into a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. Their tagline, “Making your dream a reality,” actively encapsulates their dedication to bringing clients’ visions to life.

A Vision for the Future

Jevon actively has ambitious plans for Clockwise Construction. “The vision that I have for the company of course, is development,” he said. He envisions actively expanding operations beyond Barbados, with the potential to manage projects on different islands. He also hopes to actively establish a “home base” – a centralised location for materials and operations. Inspired by companies like Williams Industries, Jevon mused during the conversation, “I definitely do,[have big respect for names like] Williams Industries, Williams Metals, Williams Electrical, you know that’s something that I would like to have – not just a Clockwise Construction, maybe a Clockwise Hardware, or a Clockwise Industries or a Clockwise Group.”

Facing Challenges, Building Success

Like any small business, Clockwise Construction has actively faced its share of challenges. Jevon acknowledged to News On The Go the difficulties in actively sourcing materials in Barbados and the need for greater support for small and medium-sized enterprises. Despite these hurdles, Clockwise Construction has continued to thrive. Jevon emphasised during the interview the importance of actively supporting local businesses: “Sometimes you wanna go to the bigger brands, and to be fair, yes, the bigger brands do offer a lot more, but the small man on the side may offer a better quality.”

The Pillars of Clockwise Construction

That quality that he speaks of comes with the Clockwise Construction brand. And with that, he says that there are core values that define Clockwise Construction: “Professionalism, accountability, honesty, credibility, and experience.” He emphasised their commitment to transparency and customer satisfaction: “We try our best to get the job done, you know, in a way that always makes the customer happy.”

As Clockwise Construction actively continues its upward trajectory, guided by Jevon’s vision and rooted in family values, it stands as a testament to the power of dedication, quality, and a commitment to actively building not just structures, but a lasting legacy in Barbados, as shared with the News On The Go team.
