The St.Bartholomew’s Summer Camp has seen a resurgence, hosting its largest number of campers this year. The camp introduced new culturally based activities and classes in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and Culture. These included hair braiding, African studies, drama, folk song and sign language.
Adding to the camp’s achievements during its resurgence this season, for the first time, St. Bartholomew’s produced two Victresses Ludorum, with Elena Weekes and Bria Lite claiming the titles in their respective age divisions. The achievement came at the 2026 National Summer Camp Programme Track and Field “Sports for Peace” Finals, where the camp dominated the Southern Zone, securing the most gold medals in the girls division and showcasing the strength of its young athletes.
St. Bartholomew’s brought this year’s camp season to an end with a showcase that allowed the children to present their newly acquired talents. The event invited the community to witness performances in dance and song, while showcasing the children’s artworks and crafts.
